Singing lessons

Most people are rather nervous when they come for their first singing lesson. Very often they apologise because they don’t sound like a professional. They forget that if they sounded like a professional they wouldn’t need singing lessons and many teachers would be out of a job! You must not be afraid of making mistakes in your lesson. It is the one place where you can make mistakes and hopefully learn from them.

Piano lessons

Beginners to intermediate are most welcome, particularly adult beginners. If students wish, they can be entered for ABRSM exams.

Performing and arranging

Carol Canning studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. While on the last year of the course she was asked to audition for the Swingle Singers and became their second alto. She stayed with the group for eight years, finally becoming the musical director.

Carol works with world-class musicians from the worlds of jazz, classical and pop.

As well as working with The Swingles and the “glitterati” from the classical world, Carol has also coached Abba’s Frida and sung backing for Bjork.

GREATEST HITS CHOIR FUND RAISING
The choir has been very busy raising funds for good causes in Buckinghamshire. Over the past year, the Greatest Hits Choir has helped to raise almost £4,000 for charity.
